Since finding Ventura in 2003 Jan and I have returned and Stayed in the Ventura cottages on three occasions.We can honestly say that we have enjoyed the facilities offered by Marie and Luciano which get better on each visit.Ventua is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for good quality,homely and quiet accommodation where you can relax and chill out but remain in easy reach of all the activities and faciities available in the algarve. Marie and Luciano are so helpful and always available if you have a problem or require advise or information. We have re booked to return in the sping of 2005 with our daughter,husband and our baby granson.

Dear Marie and Luciano, I don't think this space is big enough to thank you enough for the marvellous times we have had with you (now the third time). The villa is ideal for couples or (as we did on two occasions) share a holiday with friends where we can each have our own accommodation but are close enough to eat or drink together or to share barbecues on the adjoining patios. I loved being able to go for a swim first thing in the morning without having to look presentable to anyone else, then being able to have breakfast at leisure. As you know, we like our food and enjoyed trying the various restaurants close by or further afield - all are excellent. Beautifully kept surroundings. Lovely accomodation. Peaceful and tranquil, yet close to everything else you might want - beaches, restaurants, historic sites, shopping, airport etc, and easy to find! Marie and Luciano are the best hosts, we had a geat time!

This year has been our second visit to Casa Ventura and yet again we have not been disappointed. Marie and Luciano always offer a warm welcome and are the perfect hosts,nothing is to much trouble for them. The accommadation is excellent set in a lovely relaxing landscaped garden. Breakfast every morning on the patio, late night swimming in the pool after eating at one of the recommended restaurants...... Wonderful. Lots to do nearby and some lovely beaches to visit.I am sure we will return again and again.

As Portuguese virgins last summer, we certainly fell on our feet, finding Marie and Luciano @ Casa Ventura. Fantastic setting, fantastic people, fantastic retaraunts. (Alagoa's? superb) A great place to explore the Algarve, and all it's delights. Santa Barbara De Nexe, even has "Eddies Bar" owned by Steve Harris of Iron Maiden, an absolute sanctuary to any rock fan, although don't let this put you off as I've never seen such a bar in such an inappropriate place. Even Marie and Luciano didn't know it existed! Hopefully we'll be returning in 2005. Shhhhhhhhh..... don't tell everyone, but this place is heaven! Just be careful when parking the car at the Villa!

Casa Ventura is an ideal centre for visiting the Algarve. Marie & Luciano couldn´t have been more helpful and the cottage was well furnished, clean and comfortable. The nearest village of Santa Barbara was charming with a selection of good restaurants and small shops, plus the proximity of Faro and other major venues in Portugal. We very much enjoyed a relaxing and delightful holiday.

The accommodation and gardens were excellent and what made the place special for us was that it was so homely and safe which meant that Joseph could have a great time swimming and playing which allowed us to have great time also. Have just returned from a most relaxing holiday in the Algarve at Casa Ventura - such a peaceful place - i am a lay minister in the Church of England and the weekend before going to Casa Ventura was on a retreat weekend at Ayleford Priory Near Maidstone Kent - i would be hard pushed to say which place was more peaceful - the Monastry or Cas Ventura - Marie and Luciano made us so welcome and we had a great rest - thankyou - derek king
